Margaret Schoenecker

Margaret Coogan Schoenecker, of Cocoa Beach, FL passed away, Wednesday April 27, 2016 at the age of 92, after a 10-month battle with rectal cancer. A celebration of Life Mass with reception after in Nolan Hall will be Tuesday, May 3, 2016 at 2pm, St Ann's Catholic Church, 4905 Roswell Road, Marietta, Georgia 30064, (678-581-8380).

Margaret graduated from Memorial Hospital Nursing School, Albany, New York in 1944 with honors. She was awarded The Ludwig Parker Award for the highest grade in Nursing Diseases of the Skin and The Board of Memorial Hospital Trustees award to the student graduating with the highest scholastic average. Upon graduation, Margaret served with the Army Nurses Corps in WW ll.

Surviving her is her husband of 71 years, John L. Schoenecker Jr, daughter, Peg Crotty (Walt) and son, John L. Schoenecker III (Linda), grandchildren, Kathy Sywy (Steve), John L Schoenecker IV, Michael Crotty (Kayla), Debora Trickey (Dwayne), Robert Schoenecker (Nancy), and Carolyn Schoenecker, great grandchildren, Maria Jones (Neil), Ryan Gilliland, Caitlin Schoenecker, John (Jay) L Schoenecker V, Tyler Sywy, Dean Sywy, Kalman Trickey, Autumn Trickey, Kathrin Trickey and Ava Elizabeth Schoenecker.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations in memory of Margaret to either St Ann's Pastoral Care or Hospice Tranquility at Kennesaw Mountain, 475 Dickson Avenue, Marietta, Georgia 30062 (678-581-8380).

Should you prefer flowers, please request delivery on Tuesday, May 3rd between Noon and 1pm.

Interment will be at a later date at Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, Virginia
