Nancy passed away peacefully at her home in Woodstock , Ga., surrounded by her family. She was born and raised in Illinois. She was an accomplished pianist, who spent over 20 years teaching others the joys of music in both Illinois and Florida.
She was one of two children born to Lawrence and Naomi Casey. She’ll be forever remembered by Edward “Bud” Duffy, her beloved husband. Nancy is also survived by her brother, Kenneth (Marguerite) Casey of Michigan. She leaves behind four children, Bill (Elizabeth) Duffy of Illinois, Laurie (Stephen) Jacobs of Florida, Russell Duffy of Georgia, and Casey (Sherry) Duffy of Georgia along with her eight wonderful grandchildren. Her grandchildren; Tebin, Jesse, Dustin, Kaity, William, and Jasmine Duffy, and Micah and Eri Jacobs will always treasure their memories of her. Their home was always an open and warm place for all to come and visit.
She was a wonderful mother and a very special person. Her marriage of fifty-six years to Bud started when they were children, meeting in kindergarten, and then falling in love as teenagers. They worked hard throughout their lives, and kept family close at all times. Through it all, they loved each other very much.
