Nancy Hix

Nancy was preceded in death by her son, Barry L. Hix, parents, Olin Lee and Carmie Ruth Gilreath, brothers Brad and David Gilreath. She is survived by her loving husband, Waymon Leroy Hix, son, Timothy (Lisa) Hix, Russell Hix, grandchildren, Cody (Christina) Hix, Corey (Kasie) Hix, Brooke Hall, Tyler Hix, Karissa Payton, Ryan Hix, Kayla Hix and Rusty Hix and eight great grandchildren.

Nancy graduated from Lafayette High School in 1959 and pursued her degree at Young Harris College.

Nancy’s greatest joy was her family and spending time with them. She had a love for reading and gardening and spent many hours doing both. In addition, she loved her house on the lake. She spent many hours enjoying activities on the lake with her family and friends.

Please join us to celebrate her homecoming on Monday, January 22, 2024. We will have visitation 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Woodstock Funeral Home, Inc., 8855 Main Street, Woodstock, GA 30188. The funeral service will follow immediately 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, 8855 Main Street, Woodstock, GA 30188.

Following the funeral service a committal service will occur Monday, January 22, 2024 from 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM at Georgia National Cemetery, 1080 Scott Hudgens Dr, Canton, GA 30114.
