It is with great sadness that the family of Robert “Bob” Kenneth Cooper of Marietta GA – gentle and treasured husband, loving father, and doting Papi – passed away on the evening of Monday, December 8th, 2025, eased by the comfort of loving family members.
In his 67 years of life, Bob shared his sly smile, soft blue eyes, and open heart with others wherever he resided, from the sands of Hawaii to the suburbs of Atlanta, with a few stops in between. He shared his warmth too, as a seaman in the United States Navy. Not defined by his career in insurance, Bob often spent his weekend as a tinkerer, ready to lend his deft hands to friends and family. As a quick-witted student of history, he could just as easily get you to crack a smile as he could make you ponder.
The enormity of his heart was evidenced by his commitment to saving and sheltering many, many furry friends (he never met a dog he didn't love) and was punctuated by his devotion and schoolboy love for his wife. It was love at first sight and they always said they each saved the best (spouse) for last.
He loved music and lived his life to the rhythm of many of his favorite bands, enjoying numerous rock concerts in his lifetime. Much more than a decent man, the gleam in his eye gave away his genuineness. Bob is survived by his wife Stephanie, daughter Madison Webster (Daniel), step-son Justin Baron (Victoria), step-daughter, Courtney Baron (Sean), grandchildren Genevieve and Sullivan Webster, sisters Phyllis Nilo and Jenny Clerk (Geoff), brother Joe Cooper (Paula), and his current family of 13 dogs, all of whom he will be waiting to meet in the clearing at the end of the path.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Andrews, his father, Joe Cooper, his brother-in-law, Jerry Nilo and many dear pets including Max, Blossom, Scout, Beanie, Baby Cakes and Petey.
Bob will always be remembered for his sense of humor, his patriotism and unwavering love for his family.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hero Dog Rescue, Cumming GA.
A private service will be held at Woodstock Funeral Home in Woodstock GA.
