Robert Steven Kurtz

Mr. Robert (Bob) Steven Kurtz, age 66, of Woodstock, GA, died June 15, 2016. Of Austrian descent, Mr. Kurtz was born in NYC to Joseph and Theresa Kurtz. Mr. Kurtz was a computer tape librarian with GE Capital Corp. for most of his career. He served in the U. S. Army, including a tour in Vietnam. "Bob" was very involved in ethnic music with Die Kurtzbuam in Georgia, and The Austrian Boys in the NYC metro area. A sports enthusiast, Mr. Kurtz particularly love watching football, and was an avid NY Giants fan. He was of the Roman Catholic faith, and was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Joseph Kurtz.

Mr. Kurtz is survived by another brother, Frank Kurtz, of Woodstock, GA, an aunt, Pauline Leitgeb, in NY, several nephews and nieces, and several great-nephews and nieces. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to a Veterans Organization of your choice.

A funeral service will be held 11:30 Thursday June 23, 2016 at Our Lady Queen of Peace · Catholic Church, Hawthorne, NY, family will receive friends from 5 till 8 pm Tuesday and Wednesday at Hawthrone Funeral Home at 21 W. Stevens Ave Hawthrone, NY. 10532 ph. 914-769-4404
