Funeral services will be held 1 P.M., Friday October 7, 2011 at Woodstock Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Michael Thompson officiating. Burial will follow in Cherokee Memorial Park Cemetery in the Field of Honor with Woodstock Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be held from 10 A.M. to 1 P.M. at the funeral home.
Mr. McFarland was born May 20, 1935 in Warren, Ohio to the late Edwin H. and Geraldine L. Redmond McFarland. Mr. McFarland served in the United States Marines Corp and Air Force. He also was a QAX Chief at Lockheed Martin in Marietta.
Survivors include a daughter, Roxanne Grater (Mark), Woodstock, GA, a son, Robert Charles McFarland, Jr., Smyrna, GA, one brother, Edwin McFarland (Sandy), Ohio, grandchildren, Dennis Lee Grater, Florida, Carol Ann Grater, Colorado, one great grandchild, Kip Michael Grater, Florida, number of nieces and nephews, and several great nieces and nephews.
