Sara Howell Poor, 88, of Woodstock died Wednesday, May 15, 2013. Funeral services will be 2 P.M. Sunday at Woodstock Funeral Home Chapel in Woodstock with Rev Ken Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Enon Cemetery in Woodstock. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 6:00 to 9:00 pm.
Mrs. Poor retired in 1990 after 26 years with the Woodstock Public Library. She was a member of First Baptist Church Woodstock where she taught toddlers for many years. Born in Mill Creek moving to Woodstock with her family in the mid-1930s. She spent the last five years as a resident of Golden Living Kennestone.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis W. Poor.
Survivors include son, Jerry Poor of Powder Springs; daughters Jane Hancock and Jeanne Cosey, both of Woodstock; 8 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
