Sean was a loving, generous and kind individual. Sean endured the personal struggles and endeavors in childhood that can break some people; instead, Sean chose to grow and found himself after attending Mill Springs Academy. He was a blessing to others and showed his love through acts of kindness. Sean was everybody’s “go to guy” that would take the time to be a listening ear. He provided a safe drive to friends without any expectations in return. Sean gave of himself like no others in this world today – he had a golden heart and was a true friend to all.
Sean had many passions in life including soccer, hiking, music and cooking. He was very creative and loved to learn. He was a self-taught guitarist and was mentoring under the chefs at Century Tavern. Sean loved creating healthy, beautiful dishes for friends and family to enjoy, which was just another act of kindness for him to say “I love you” without words. He was an aspiring cartoonist and was newly accepted to Chattahoochee Tech.
“Autism is about having a pure heart and being very sensitive… It is about finding a way to survive in an overwhelming, confusing world… It is about developing differently, in a different pace and with different leaps.” Sean found his way even with factors affecting him outside of his control. He was a pure soul and his brief time on earth ended as beautifully as his story began – with love and admiration from those around him and him being his true self.
Sean’s memory will be cherished by his parents, Fred and Nan Roberts of Canton; sister, Jacqueline Duignan of California; brother, Blake Roberts of Athens; and many extended family members and friends.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Edward & Glenda Toney and Jerry & Phillis Roberts (who lovingly called Sean “Blue Eyes”); and aunt, Lynn Roberts.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, April 7, 2019 from 11:00 am until 2:00 pm at Woodstock Funeral Home 8855 Main Street Woodstock, Georgia 30188.
