Sebastian "Sam" Navarro

Mr. Sebastian “Sam” Anthony Navarro, 94, of Woodstock, GA passed away September 6, 2015. Sam was born on April 26, 1921 in Medford, MA to the late Joseph and Antoinetta Navarro. After graduating high school, Sam attended the Medford Vocational Technical School. During WWII, Sam enlisted in the US Army and honorably served in North Africa and Europe. In Paris, Sam met the love of his life, Adeline. They were married on April 28, 1945 in Paris, France. After returning home, they lived in Medford for a while and raised a family together in Woburn, Ma. Sam enjoyed a career as a construction manager. He was honest, fair and driven. Sam enjoyed trout fishing, furniture making and was an artist. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Sam leaves behind his beloved wife of 70 years, Adeline J. Navarro, sons, John H. Navarro (Laurel), Patrick Navarro and Daniel Navarro (Vanessa), grandchildren, Lisa Lawson, Johngregory Navarro, Sebastian (Sam) Navarro and John L. Navarro, great-grandchildren, Jacquelynne Byers, Ashley Byers, Isabella Navarro, Alexander Lawson, Elyse Navarro, Graeme Navarro and Sebastian H. Navarro, great-great- grandchildren, Kylee Rucker and Giselle Rucker. He is also survived by his brother, Albert Navarro (Betty). The family will receive friends on Friday, September 11, 2015 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm at Woodstock Funeral Home, 8855 Main St, Woodstock, GA 30188. Military honors will be rendered at 3:00pm. Interment will be on Monday, September 14, 2015 at 10:00am at Georgia National Cemetery, Canton, GA.
