Allan Fenstermaker

Allan Fenstermaker, 88, passed November 5, 2023, at home surrounded by family. Allan was born September 22, 1935, in Columbus, Ohio, to Harvey and Lucy (Harlan) Fenstermaker. He had one brother, Robert “Bob” Fenstermaker of Zanesville, Ohio.

Allan was a graduate of West High School in Columbus, as well as The Ohio State University. He also served in the US Army and the Ohio National Guard.

He spent his professional life as a buyer and purchasing agent, retiring as a purchasing manager, and was a member of the National Association of Purchasing Management.

Allan enjoyed doing home-remodeling projects, spending time at the family cabin, and doing other family activities. He was also a sports fan and a great follower of the Ohio State Buckeyes. In retirement he became heavily involved in collecting Lionel model trains.

Allan is survived by his wife, Sandy; his children, Lee (Bea) Fenstermaker, Scott (Dorri) Fenstermaker, Tracy (Claudio) Garcia, Stacy (Mike) Overly; his grandchildren, Sean (Emily), Kayla, Whitney (Steve), Josh, Austin, Audrey (Jordan), Carson, Zakary, April, and Graham; and his great-grandchildren, Isabelle, Emilia, Gunnar, and Samuel.

A celebration-of-life service will be held at Berean Bible Church on Saturday, November 11, 2023, at 3:00 p.m.
