I just went through the saddest holidays of my life, no more laughing, eating, or cracking jokes with you, Dad. I remember how you had the most enormous appetite when we ate together, and how loved I felt deep within. I prayed to God to keep you around longer, until I made something of myself, so I too could reciprocate that love. Alas, my poor dad, you were too kind for this world, you left me too soon. I am sad, Dad, and I miss you so much. My life is definitely darker now that you're gone so abruptly. I lost a friend, a dad, an angel, a counselor, a brother, and a mentor the day you left me. I don't know how to heal, but I'll keep pretending, and I'll stay strong. I just hope you are resting where you are. I love you so much dad, I'll keep trying to make you proud. Forever your Dr. Prime.

My daddy, my father, my angel protector on this earth, words cannot begin to describe the depth of this dark cold hole your departure left in my heart. From the day of your diagnosis to your last breath, I have been trying my hardest to avoid the disabling effects of depression, but it just keeps getting harder and darker. 
I am so mad at the world dad, you were only 63 years old, so healthy, but sadly none of that mattered. 
I feel lost, sad, confused, disappointed, anxious, angry more than anything but I am trying to stay strong as you've always instructed me. 
I miss you more than anyone in this whole world will ever know, and I will forever miss your companionship, your jokes, and most importantly your council. 
Thank you for teaching me fatherhood the right way, thank you for all your sacrifices, thank you for loving me unconditionally, and thank you for choosing me to carry your name. 
I, your beloved son, your one and only Dr. Prime K, will always strive to make you proud, to march in your footsteps, and to tell the world how much of giant you were, through my actions, lifestyle and leadership. 
Time heals what reason cannot, I hope and pray for some justification for this pain. 
I love you and will forever miss you. Your one and only, your strong little offspring, your beloved son, your Dr. Prime Koubaka.
