Betty "B.J." Selkow

Betty Jo “B.J.” Selkow (Wheeler) passed unexpectedly 12/14/2025 in Westerville, OH at the age of 76. B.J. is survived by her sister, Sue Arthurs of Westerville, OH, daughter, Courtney Bass and grandson, Peyton Bass of Columbus, OH and son, Brockton Selkow, daughter-in-law Dr. Noelle Selkow, grandson, Maddox Selkow and granddaughter, Charlotte Selkow of Bloomington, IL. B.J. is preceded in death by her husband, Charles F. Selkow III and parents Rutherford and Bernice Wheeler. Betty was born on September 8, 1949, in Portsmouth, OH. She was part of the "Pioneer Class" at Mount Vernon Nazarene College 1968-1970 and graduated from Trevecca Nazarene University 1970-1972 with a degree in education. She married Charles F. Selkow III in 1977.

B.J. was a beloved member of Northwest Church of the Nazarene in Worthington, OH. She was a devoted mother and grandmother. She served the youth of Columbus as an educator in the Northeast Career Center. In retirement she enjoyed traveling and knitting. She loved celebrating Christmas with her family and will be eternally missed.

A visitation will take place at Schoedinger Worthington, located at 6699 N High Street, Worthington, Ohio, 43085, on December 21, 2025, beginning at 11:00 am and going until 12:00 pm. All are welcome to attend and celebrate B.J.’s life.

The burial will be held at Dublin Cemetery in Dublin, Ohio, 43017, on December 22, 2025, starting at 10:00 am.
