

Delphene Kolter Monfort 98, of Lewis Center, passed away Monday evening, March 30, 2026 at Riverside Hospital after a fall. Mrs. Monfort was born February 18, 1928 in Spencerville, Ohio and has lived in Columbus for 72 years. She was a 1946 graduate of Spencerville High School. She was a dedicated homemaker and wonderful mother to four sons. Del was a terrific cook and baker and, in her 80’s, compiled a cookbook of her favorite recipes. She gave away hundreds. She was a long-serving volunteer at Riverside Methodist Hospital.
Mrs. Monfort is survived by three sons, David Monfort of Powell, Dan (Christine) Monfort of Canfield and Michael (Mary) Monfort of Hudson and daughter in law Karen Monfort of Dayton, 13 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Homer, of 61 years on March, 2007 and her son Chuck in 2019. She was also preceded in death by her parents Sherman and Pearl Kolter.
Visitation will be held at St Joan of Arc, 10700 Liberty Rd, Powell, OH 43065, on April 9, 2026, from 9:15 am to 10:15 am, followed by a Funeral Mass at the same location from 10:30 am to 11:30 am.
A graveside service will follow, taking place at Resurrection Cemetery, 9571 N High St, Lewis Center, OH 43035, at 12:00 pm.
