Dixie Lee Bailey

Dixie Bailey, 80, of Columbus, passed away on April 23, 2023. She was born on October 25, 1942, in The Plains, Ohio, to the late Eldon and Dellis (Yates) Hardy. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Teresa and Darell; and her grandmother, Blanche Yates.

Dixie graduated from Central High School and was employed at Chemical Abstract Service where she worked in payroll for 40 years. She loved her family and was known for being a story teller, especially stories about the “old days”. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and will be missed by many.

She is survived by her children, Jeff and Kim Bailey; sister, Juanita Freeman; grandchildren, Kari, Ashlee, Anthony, and Amber; great-grandchildren, Jeffery, Jacob, Isabella, and Kayden; and her step-father, Eugene Goff.

A visitation will be held on Saturday April 29, 2023, from 2pm until 4pm, at the Schoedinger Worthington Funeral Home, 6699 North High St., Worthington OH, 43085. A Funeral Service will follow at 4pm. A Graveside Service will be held on Monday, May 1, 2023, at 2pm, at Union Cemetery.
