Eleanor Schaefer

Eleanor Cecilia Schaefer was a loving daughter, sister, cousin, niece, and granddaughter. She most often went by Ellie, Bella, Bellie, Bells, Ells, Punkin, Beleanor, Sweetie Pie, Knucklehead or Booger. Despite her many limitations she could somehow tell when someone was nearby, who it was and easily communicated what she wanted from them. Ellie never shrank from letting everyone know her opinions and was extremely possessive of her things, no one can touch her armrests or wheelchair. Ellie loved snuggling her family, sleeping the day away, mealtimes, wrestling with her brothers, and when others got in trouble. She will always be remembered by her family as their miracle baby. She was never expected to even leave the hospital much less roll over, eat by mouth, go to school (thank you Colerain) much less roller skate. She taught us to love the Lord, courageously trust in His will and to accept whatever He gives us no matter the difficulty. We will love and remember her witness of joy, that we all got to be a part of for almost 10 years. We love you darling.

Visitation will be held at Schoedinger Worthington, located at 6699 N High Street, Worthington, OH, 43085, on December 26, 2025, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm and a prayer service will take place at 5pm.

A Funeral Mass will take place at SS Augustine & Gabriel Parish, located at 1550 E Hudson St, Columbus, OH, 43211, on December 27, 2025, at 10:00 am.
