

He was born in Rocky River, Ohio, to Herbert and Selma Riemenschneider. Herb was a graduate of The Ohio State University College of Medicine and went on to complete his urologic residency at Indiana University. He practiced as a board-certified urologist in Columbus for 49 years, dedicating his career to the care of his patients and the advancement of his field.
Throughout his professional life, Herb was an active leader and contributor. He served as Secretary/Treasurer of the Ohio Urological Society, was a longtime member of the Downtown Rotary, and founder of the Knightsbridge Surgery Center.
Despite his many professional accomplishments, Herb was most proud of his family. Known affectionately as ”Tick Tock” to his grandchildren, he cherished the time he spent with them. Herb was devoted to his family and especially enjoyed ski trips, running, boating, family dinners, great parties and good dessert.
Herb is survived by his beloved wife, Maryann; his children, Scott (Bethany), Todd (Lindsey), Erin (Travis) Gregory, and Elizabeth (Riley); and his grandchildren, Ana (Kaleb), Ashlinn, Charlie, Baylie, Maclynne, Leyton, Wade, Emerson, Caleb, Frankie, Rylin, Ramsey, and Rory; sister, Carol Schneider. He is also survived by his former wife and friend, Carol.
Visitation will be held at Schoedinger Worthington, 6699 N High Street, Worthington, OH 43085, US, on April 14, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm, and again on April 15, 2026, from 12:30 pm to 2:30 pm.
