

Jacqueline Weddington Plummer, 83, peacefully passed away on May 21, 2024. She was born on November 17, 1940, in McAndrew KY, to the late Tyra and Ducie Weddington. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her soul mate Edgar Plummer; brothers, Ralph, Craft, and sisters Pricie, Audrey, and Esteline.
She was a 1959 graduate of Linden McKinley High School. She was a stay at home Mother until she started volunteering from 1972 until 1980 for the Youth for Understanding (YFU) Exchange Students Program. She placed over 500 students from all over the world with families that would give them a good home to attend their senior year in America. Then in 1981, she took a job with Big Bear in Clintonville in the Deli Department until 2004 when the company went out of business.
Jacqueline will be greatly missed by her daughter, Erin (Dave) Wortman; grandchildren, Erika Wortman, Joshua (Becky) Wortman, and Derek Wortman; great-grandsons, Aaiden and Anthony; great-granddaughter, Nollie; and a new great grandbaby on the way; sister-in-law, Marianna Weddington; and many cousins, extended family and close family friends.
A Funeral will be held on Tuesday, May 28, 2024, at 10am, at the Schoedinger Worthington Funeral Home, 6699 North High St., Worthington OH, 43085. Burial will follow at 12pm, at Kingwood Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
