

John Ridgway, 76, of Hilliard, passed away on May 26, 2024. He was born on August 31, 1947, in Dennison Ohio, to the late Bill and Rose Ridgway. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by wife, Linda Ridgway; his brother, Chip Ridgway; and his Daughter-in-Law, Natalie Ridgway.
John served in the US Army from 1970 to 1974. John was known to have a great work ethic and in his free time was passionate about his many hobbies, including flying hot air balloons, working with stained glass and more recently collecting and restoring Cushman Scooters. He poured his heart and soul into each restoration project, breathing new life into vintage treasures. He could often be found in his garage tinkering around and working on projects.
Above all, his greatest joy was spending time with his family. He cherished every moment spent with his loved ones, especially his grandchildren. He had a great sense of humor and his quick wit never failed to bring smiles to the faces of those around him.
John will be greatly missed by his wife, Jackie; children, Patrick (Cheryl) Ridgway, Jenny (Chris) Goubeaux, John (Leah) Ridgway, and Jill Ridgway; grandchildren, Ben, Kat, and Allie Ridgway, Chris, Carlie, and Davis Goubeaux, Reid, Graham, Banks Ridgway and Tim, Josh, and Abby Ridgway; step-children, Rob, Julie, Jodie, Wendy, Brennen, and Bethany; 16 step grandchildren and 9 step great-grandchildren; and numerous extended family and close family friends.
A memorial service for John will be held Tuesday, June 4, 2024 at 3:00 PM at Schoedinger Worthington, 6699 N High Street, Worthington, OH 43085, followed by a visitation from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
