OBITUARY

Kenneth Edward Pritchett

21 February, 1957 – 30 March, 2026
IN THE CARE OF

Schoedinger Worthington

Kenneth Edward Pritchett, 69, of Columbus, Ohio, passed away on Monday, March 30, 2026, lovingly surrounded by his family.

Born on February 21, 1957, to the late John Edward and Ruth Howe Pritchett, Ken was a lifelong resident of Columbus. He loved being a Dad, a Brother, Uncle Kenny and most recently Poppy to his 4 beautiful grandchildren.

Ken is survived by his wife of 41 years, Christine Pritchett; his children, Matt (Marie), Jill (Rees), Scott (Jen), and Ryan (Angie); grandchildren, June, Cal, Isaac, and Lucas; siblings John (Dana) Pritchett, Mary Lou (Steve) Humphrey, and Nancy Pritchett (Doug); along with their children and extended families.

Ken was a graduate of The Ohio State University and the founder of Midwest Retail Services. He was instrumental in bringing The Cancer Support Community of Central Ohio to the Columbus area to provide support to those with cancer and their families. He proudly served on this nonprofit’s board of directors and was involved in the organization’s annual charity golf classic. He believed knowledge was power in the fight against the disease and never stopped learning, questioning, and encouraging others to find the help they needed. Ken was very thankful to the families and friends who supported him throughout his own battle with renal cell carcinoma.

Ken loved to play golf and valued the time he spent on many courses with friends and family. The relationships he built through the game meant a great deal to him, and he appreciated the camaraderie, laughter, and connection those moments brought.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Ken’s memory to a charity close to your heart. A cause that reflects his spirit of generosity and support for others would be a meaningful way to honor his legacy.

An intimate family ceremony will be held privately. A celebration of life will take place at a later date.
