Kevin John Hinkle, 69, of Johnstown, passed away on December 13, 2023. He was born in Findlay, Ohio to the late John and Betty (Fox) Hinkle. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Susan.
Kevin graduated from Whetstone High School in Columbus and DeVry Institute of Technology. He worked at ITT North Power Systems Division and from 1980 until retirement at Lake Shore Cryotronics, Inc. He loved music, particularly playing his upright string bass and listening to classical music, cycling, fixing things around the house, and taking long Sunday afternoon drives.
Kevin will be deeply missed by his daughter, Becky, son-in-law Steve, grandson Matthew, granddog Maddie, and his brother Dave (June) Hinkle.
A memorial service celebrating Kevin’s life will be held on Thursday, December 21, 2023 at 10:00am at Schoedinger Worthington, 6699 North High Street, Worthington. Private family burial will take place at Tawa Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family encourages you to make a donation in Kevin’s name to Bergen Performing Arts Center in Englewood, NJ. His daughter Becky works there and he would have loved BergenPAC if he had the chance to visit.
