

Lewis Edwin Lantz IV, age 40, of Westerville, Ohio passed away unexpectedly on Sunday morning June 5th, 2022. Lewis, also known as Edwin and Ed, graduated from Westerville South High School in 2000, and graduated from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio in 2004. He was a member of the Delta Upsilon fraternity. He attended Hawthorne and Huber Ridge Elementary Schools and Heritage Middle School.
He was a pharmacy technician at the Ohio State University hospitals, and before that, the Kroger company.
Lewis Edwin was the son of Samuel Owen Lantz (deceased) and Brenda (Chester) Lantz of Westerville. He is survived by his mother Brenda, and his brother Clark Stephen Lantz, of Jersey City, NJ. He is survived by his aunt Judith Lantz and cousins Paige Houston, Greg Caswell, and Taylor Houston; uncle Al Carlson, cousins Eric, Krista and Susan Carlson all of the Washington, DC area; cousins Karen and Lauren Trego of Orange County CA, and Lindsey, (David) and Claire Gill of Renton, WA; cousins Brooke Chester and Rachel (Matthew) Miller, and Bryce and Resse Miller, and Lawrence (Patt) Chester all of Suffern, NY; Marla Mondello of Tampa, FL; cousin Lawrence Chester of Sevierville, TN.
Lewis Edwin earned the rank of Eagle Scout with Troop 700. He played football for Westerville South High School and was voted by his teammates to receive The Pride Award. He was also elected to the Westerville South Hall of Excellence. He attended Central College Presbyterian Church, where as a child he sang in the children's and youth choirs there.
Lewis Edwin had many, many lifelong friends and was respected by all who knew him. His passing has caused a great void in the life of his family, and the many people who loved him so dearly.
Visitation will be at SCHOEDINGER FUNERAL SERVICE, WORTHINGTON 6699 N. High Street from 10:30am to 12pm on Tuesday, June 14, 2022 preceding the 12pm funeral service. Burial will take place at the Lantz Family Cemetery in Jacksonburg, West Virginia at a later date.
