Lynn Marie Rose, born August 11, 1958 (Lansing, Michigan), peacefully left this world July 1, 2025 (Columbus, Ohio). Lynn will be forever remembered as the most caring, devoted, and loving grandmother, mother, and wife.
Beloved daughter of William and Marilyn Leary Jr., Lynn graduated from Worthington High School, where her lifelong passion for sporting events began as a member of the drill team. Obtaining a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from The Ohio State University, Lynn worked for 22 years in banking, retiring in 1998 as a Cash Management Business Analyst with National City.
Lynn loved to travel, whether as a devoted Buckeye fan (including to the 2002 National Title game and the 2025 Rose Bowl), with bowling league friends to Northern Michigan, extended family to Destin, Florida, or daughter, son and granddaughters to Disney World, the Smoky Mountains of Tennessee or the Outer Banks of North Carolina. She also enjoyed attending Columbus Blue Jackets games with friends and trips to Las Vegas.
Lynn’s greatest love, however, was family and friends. Whether hosting for the holidays or other family events, she made everyone (even newcomers) feel immediately at ease. She made a lasting impact on her family through her loving care of members with health conditions. For so many, she was the first person you would call and the last person to leave if you ever had a problem.
She was truly adored by all, especially her granddaughters. They were the essence of her life, and she cherished every moment she spent with them.
She is survived by her husband of 28 years, David Rose; children Kelli (Matthew) Graham, Kenny (Jackie) Salisbury; grandchildren Eloise (Ella) Graham, Sofia Salisbury and Adelyn Graham; mother Marilyn Leary; siblings William (Erin) Leary III, Kathy (Mark) Vogel, Debbie (Michael) Norman, Michelle (Ronald) Rhodes; sister-in-law Cindi Rose, and numerous nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, all whom she loved dearly. She is reunited with her father, as well as her grandparents, William (Salina) Leary Sr. and Manley (Wilma) Hall.
She will be lovingly memorialized in a private family gathering. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in her name to Make-A-Wish Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana (wish.org/oki) or Potter Park Zoo (potterparkzoo.org).
