Mamie Victoria Krauslock, 105, passed away peacefully at home where she lived with her daughter in Westerville OH, on August 15, 2023. She was born July 22, 1918 in Bedford, OH to Mary (deceased) and Thomas (deceased) Dominiak. Siblings Genevieve Nuhfer, Thomas and Edward Dominiak. She married Dalton “Skip” Krauslock July 20, 1940. They were married for 55 years when he passed. They had two daughters, Dale Marie Panovich and Donna Jeanne Brette (deceased). Mamie has lived with her daughter, Dale for the past 17 years. Skip and Mamie moved to Bucyrus, OH in 1963 and operated Krauslock Olds Cadillac for 15 years while living in the pink house on Mansfields St. that everyone knew. Mamie is survived by her devoted daughter, Dale Panovich, her grandchildren, Jeff Panovich, Jeannine Panovich, Tina Brette (Mark Powers), and Tania Genheimer (Mike Genheimer), great granddaughters, Paige Genheimer, Rileigh Brette, and Jayden Panovich, and great great grandchildren, Alexandria Bowens, and Remmi Genheimer. Mamie lived life to the fullest. She had one speed called…faster but she always made time for her family. Growing up in Bedford, she graduated high school in 1935, completing a 2 year course in bookkeeping. Mamie enjoyed golfing, bowling, reading, gardening, attending the Harness Races with her husband, and enjoyed a good card game but hated losing. She delivered meals on wheels, was a guide at the Historical Society, enjoyed “telling people where to go” at the Court House, volunteered at the school teaching kids to read and do match, volunteering at Vineyard Church of Columbus and gardening at Innis Woods into her 90’s. From being her daughters Girl Scout Leader 75 years ago, to working along side her husband at Skips Service Station in Bedford, bookkeeping at Krauslock Olds Cadillac, Mamie loved nothing more than feeding her family and passed down their favorite recipes. You can be sure these will be made often in her memory but they will never taste as good. Her greatest joy was being with her family and grandchildren, much to their delight. What can you say about a legend such as Mamie except that she will be missed dearly and has given us wonderful memories to last a lifetime even if we live as long as her. Visitation will be held Saturday, August 26, 2023 at 11:00a until time of service at 12 noon with Pastor Anthony Cannon officiating at Schoedinger Worthington Funeral and Cremation Services, 6699 N Hight St, Worthington OH 43085. Memorial contributions may be directed to Ohio’s Hospice of Central Ohio, 2269 Cherry Valley Rd S.E., Newark OH 43055 or Bucyrus Tree Program, 500 S Sandusky, Attn: Mayor, Bucyrus, OH 44820.
