Marilyn E. Brown

Marilyn E. Brown, of Delaware, Ohio passed away on April 29, 2026. She was born on May 15, 1927, in Coalton, Ohio to Harold and Merle Rowe. She was married to Richard Brown. Marilyn retired from ODOT after 35 years and then worked at Franklin Consulting Engineers.

Marilyn was very sports minded and participated in golf, bowling and basketball and was a OSU basketball and football fan. She and Richard enjoyed watching all of the grandchildren’s sports activities. They also traveled extensively and enjoyed many cruises. She enjoyed euchre, dominos and crossword puzzles with her Willow Brook friends. She especially enjoyed the company of her wonderful pets, Katie and Holly.

Marilyn was preceded in death by her husband Richard, parents Merle and Harold Rowe, sisters Louise Watkins, JoAnn McGhee and Peggy Lanier, sisters-in-law Janet and Connie Rowe, and brothers-in-law Rich Lanier and Dale Wickline.

She is survived by her daughter Carolyn Rusk (Wade) and son Mark (Barbara); grandchildren Jaime Brown, Traci Funk (Adam), Lauren Roush, Lindsey Bladen (Nathan), Ryan Rusk, Christopher Rusk (Courtney); great grandchildren Connor and Camryn Rusk, Maya and Kelsey Bladen; sisters Nan Wickline, Dianne Moore (Jimmie); brothers Harold and Roger Rowe; brother-in-law Frank McGhee; as well as many nieces, nephews and dear friends.

Marilyn’s family will receive friends from 10am to 11am on Friday, May 15, 2026, at Schoedinger Funeral and Cremation Services, 6699 N. High Street, Worthington. A funeral service will be held at 11am after visitation.
