

On March 8, 2026, Richard Martin Stolte passed away at the age of 93. The son of Leonard A. Stolte and Rose Mary Stolte (Kroupa), Dick was born November 4, 1932 in St Louis, MO where he attended St. Louis University High and graduated with honors from Washington University.
Dick trained at the United States Army Forward Observer Artillery School at Ft. Sill in Oklahoma. Sgt. Stolte served in the Korean War from 1953 -1955. He was once tasked with obtaining special supplies for a USO performer by the name of Marylin Monroe.
As a successful salesman with Moore Business Forms, Dick won 10 Achievement Awards during his career. Dick enjoyed tennis, golf, boating, traveling, and playing piano. Dick and Dorothy (Dot), his wife of 70 years, lived in St. Louis, Centerville, OH, The Pointe in Indiana, Worthington Country Club in Bonita Springs, prior to moving to Westerville.
Richard is survived by his beloved wife Dorothy C. Stolte (Tiemann), son Douglas (Terry) Stolte, daughter Ann (Mike) Kenney, grandchildren Joshua, Haleigh, and Sean, his brother Kenn Stolte, and several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Dick’s family will have a small private prayer service on Tuesday, March 31, 2026 at 11am at Schoedinger Funeral Service, Worthington and then meet at Dayton National Cemetery at 2pm that afternoon for a committal service with Army military honors.
