Richard L. "Rick" Zipf

Richard L. Zipf, 66, of Delaware, died peacefully on Monday, January 15, 2024 at Riverside Methodist Hospital, surrounded by his family. Rick was born in Columbus on July 26, 1957 to William Jr. and Marilyn (Yochum) Zipf. He was a 1975 graduate of Whetstone High School and a 1980 graduate of Franklin University. He was formerly president of Zipf Lock Company. Rick was an avid Formula 1 racing fan.

He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Carol (Switzer) Zipf, daughters Hannah (Emerson) Rhoad and Sarah (Matthew) Hays, grandchildren Lucas and Scarlett Hays and Carter and Hunter Rhoad, sister Wendy Zipf, brother Steve (Rhonda) Zipf, aunt and uncle Faith and Walt Bauer, several nieces and cousins.

Friends may call Sunday, January 2, 2024, 1-4 pm at the Schoedinger Worthington Chapel, 6699 N High St. Additional visitation Monday January 22, 2024 from 10am to 11am prior to an 11am funeral service at All Saints Lutheran Church, 6770 N High St. with Pastor Scott Nellis officiating. Interment Amanda Township Cemetery, Amanda,OH at a later date.
