

Robert (Bob) Bishop is survived by his wife Gloria Bishop(Carter) of 56 years, Children Jay, Jill(John) and, Jennifer(Brad) Grandchildren, Shelbi, Courtney, Carter, Nevan, Eoin, and Duncan, Siblings Vicky(Ron) Woods Nieces Tracy(Steve) and Karen(Caesar) Great nieces Brittany and Ashley, and his loyal dog Snowman. He was preceded in death by his parents Wanda and Averille Bishop as well as his Aunt Louis(Albert) Wygant and Cousin Jodi.
Bob graduated from Brookhaven high school in 1966. He was a salesman for Zee Medical and Safelite Auto Glass where he made many sales achievements. On December 16, 1967, he married Gloria, the love of his life. They raised three beautiful children together. Bob went on to retire in 2018 to spend time with his family and on his boat on Lake Cumberland.
Robert (Bob) Bishop was a devoted father and grandfather known for his humor, kindness, and zest for life. His hobbies were boating, swimming, traveling, jitterbug competitions, building slot cars, watching football & nascar, and hanging out with his lifelong friends and grandchildren. He was a spiritual man and involved in many church activities including being a Sunday school teacher. Bob was cared for in his later life by his Wife Gloria, Granddaughter Shelbi, and his home aide Gurtrude.
Robert (Bob) Bishop played as the bass guitar player for The Rebounds and Mayflower Proposition. The Rebounds opened up for Sonny and Cher, Bob Seger, The Byrd’s, Mitch Ryder & the Detroit Wheels, 4 Tops, The Beach Boys, and The Temptations. In the late 60s Tower Records released songs “Stepping Stone” & “Since I Fell For You” by The Rebounds. Bob participated in many community activities such as the President of the Worthington Quarterback Club, filming varsity football games, and coaching softball and football (big white) for his kids. Bob will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.
A Visitation will be held at 3 pm on February 21, 2025 followed by a Memorial service held at 4 pm on February 21, 2025 at Schoedinger funeral home of Worthington. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the National Kidney Foundation or The Columbus Emergency response fund Covid-19.
