Betty Jean Keller

Betty was born August 25, 1931 to her loving parent’s Ole & Myrtle Larson and was the youngest of 11 children.

She lived in Auburn, WA most of her life and married Karl Dean Keller in 1948 & together raised 4 children: Sharon Peterson, Karlene (Mike) Hanson, Vicki (Mark) Woodward and Dean (Karla) Keller.

They later moved to Yakima and she continued working in the grocery business with Safeway until her retirement.

Together they enjoyed many years of camping, dancing, gardening & traveling. They especially enjoyed their home and barn they built on a creek in the Gleed area where they realized their dream of owning race horses. Betty could occasionally be seen driving the tractor trailer & pulling the grandkids behind.

She enjoyed her many friends and a good game of Bingo which she consistently won in her later years at the Wynwood Assisted Living Facility.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Karl. She is survived by her 4 children & 1 sister, Viola McMasters (Aunt Blondie), 8 grandchildren & 10 great grandchildren.

The family would like to give a special thanks to Dr. Sharp, Dr. Rana, Dr. Kumar, Wynwood & Memorial Hospice for their care & compassion.

A Memorial Service will be at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at Keith & Keith Funeral Home.
