

YAKIMA - Corrine Cook, 70, of Yakima, passed away Thursday, August 29, 2013 with her loving family at her side at Yakima Regional. Corrine was born August 28, 1943 in Ellensburg, WA to Pearl Field and Andy Betram. Corrine and Terry were married 55 years July 7, 2013. Corrine enjoyed music, dancing, bingo and going to the casino. She also loved going to Gold Creek for fish and chips. One of Corrine’s favorite trips was traveling to Leavenworth, WA with her husband and friends. Corrine spent 20 years working at Lil’ Brown Smoke Shop, was assistant manager at Grocery Outlet, and retired from Keelers Medical Supply. Corrine will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Corrine was a Yakama Native American and was very proud of her heritage. Survivors include husband Terry Cook, daughter Julie Cook, son Rick Cook, sister Theresa Carpenter, husband Clyde, grandson Jeremy Keeling who was her world, granddaughter Nicole, sister-in-law Twyla Garoutte, brothers-in-law Dick and Dee McCumber, and Terry Best, and close family friends Carol, Gary, and Jeri Ross.
The family would like to extend a very warm thank you to Contract Health and the Yakama Nation for all your help, kindness and compassion to Cory. We are forever grateful and will always love you all.
A celebration of Corrine’s life will be held Saturday, September 7, 2013 at 2:00 PM at Englewood Christian Church, 511 N. 44th Ave.
