Dave joined the Navy right out of high school. Dave served in the Navy until April 26th, 1957 receiving an honorable medical discharge. Dave found his passion in the automotive industry. He received several awards for top used car manager five years in a row working for Ford Motor Company. Dave then went out on his own and stared Sun Country Auto Sales. Dave was involved in the car industry in one aspect or another entire life. Dave as an avid hunter and outdoorsman. He enjoyed taking his family and friends along on hunting trips and taking the grandkids up to the mountains.
Dave is survived by his wife of 62years, Mary Saylors. Son Gary Saylors and wife Sher Craven-Saylors, daughter Mona Saylors-Parsons and husband Derek, son Ron Saylors and wife Marie, brother Kenneth Saylors and wife Jan, sister Jean Burns, and sister Lindy Fisk, several nieces and nephews, and beloved grandchildren and great grandchildren.
The family would like to thank the Union Gap Fire and Police Department for their compassion during such a difficult time.
The family request that in lieu of flowers and donations can be made to the Disabled American Veterans.
To our beloved husband, father brother, and grandfather, we won’t say goodbye, we will say until we see you again.
Services will be held at Langevin El Paraiso Funeral Home in Yakima on Friday November 8th, 2019 at 10:00 am.
