Dean Tilton, 83, passed peacefully at his home with his dog by his side and surrounded by his family on May 18, 2026. Having been born on July 11, 1942, in Manhattan, Kansas, to Russell and Thelma (Britt) Tilton, Dean resided in Yakima with his wife Robin. He served in the US Army and later retired as a Police Officer.
He is survived by his wife Robin, daughter Carrie King, son William Dean Tilton, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and so many friends he considered family.
To help his family pay for funeral expenses, donations are being accepted at Langevin Funeral Home, 1010 W Yakima Ave. They can be made at the business office during business hours M-F, 9-5, or via phone at 509-453-3141.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 3:00 pm on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, at Wiley Union Church, 2711 S Wiley Rd, Yakima, WA. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Yakima Valley Pet Rescue, https://yvpr.org, in Dean's honor.
