

Debra Lu (Kary) Carter was born January 11, 1956, in Yakima, Washington and passed on May 5th 2026 in Yakima, Washington. Debbie passed peacefully with those who loved her dearly, her Life Partner Robert Nevins and her family and friends.
Debbie was raised in Yakima, attended local schools & graduated from A.C. Davis High School. She moved to Everett Washington after getting married to Steven Carter. She moved back to Yakima when she got pregnant with her first son Josh. She wanted her children to grow up with family. She was a loving partner, mother, grandmother and friend to many people. She was kind, loving, funny, and full of joy and a ball of fire. She loved her puppies.
Debbie was a beautiful women both physically and inside. She always cared about and loved her family and friends. She was just like your mom, always full of life wanting to do and try new experiences. Just like her mom she was beautiful with perfect makeup and dressed to kill all the time.
The loss of Debbie is deeply felt by her life partner Robert Nevins, her family and friends. She loved everybody and always wanted everyone to be happy. She will always be in her families hearts and memories, just like her mom and dad are. She will be missed forever and ever. And her family will tell her stories and stories about her to each other including new members to the family.
Her one wish is to have ashes spread at her favorite camp ground, Mossy Rock where she had many happy trips and memories with her family, her mom and dad, brother and sister's family along with her kids and their cousins.
Debbie was preceded in death by her mother and father, Rose and Harry Kary her brother Delmar Kary, sisters Patty Kutch, Lisa Roberts and Carlin Kary. She is survived by her sons Josh and Nick, daughter Emily, sister Marlys, her Life Partner Robert Nevins and ex-husband Steve Carter, along with her grandchildren Jessa Carter, Jace Carter, Jocelyn Carter, Lexy Grunewald, Madden Lewis, Seri Lewis Crimson Lewis, and numerous nieces and nephew.
Visitations will be on Wednesday, May, 13th from 3pm-6pm; Thursday, May, 14th from 3pm-6pm; and Friday 10am-2pm at Langevin El Paraiso Funeral Home - 1010 W Yakima Avenue, Yakima, WA 98902. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, May 16th, 2026 at 2pm at Langevin El Paraiso Funeral Home - 1010 W Yakima Avenue, Yakima, WA 98902.
