She was born on October 19, 1951 to John Wesley and Selma Irene (Conners) Forsythe in Sioux City, Iowa. She spent her childhood growing up in Denver with her sister and two brothers.
Donna loved to cook, read, and listen to music, especially Roy Orbison’s “Pretty Woman”. She had a huge heart, and an immense love for her family. Donna rarely said an unkind work, and truly lived a life of living humbly with her Lord and showing mercy, grace, and forgiveness. She had a quiet strength that was unmatched.
She worked for Jeldwen Window Company as a welder for many years, retiring only recently.
She met the love of her life, Thomas Chavers, and they were married on Valentine’s Day 22 years ago. When Donna became ill and moved to North Dakota to be with her son, she and Thomas would spend hours and hours talking on the phone to each other.
She is preceded in death by her parents John and Selma.
She is survived by her loving husband Thomas Chavers of Yakima; son Joseph Munch of North Dakota; daughter Tina (Joe) Patnode of Arizona; siblings John (Linda) Forsythe, Anna Forsythe, and Butch Forsythe; grandchildren Ariel, Kayla, Robin, Joey, Joshua, Jonny, Ashlynn, Tiffany, and Johnny; 5 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
Thomas would sincerely like to thank Donna’s son Joe Munch for taking such care and providing for his mother over the last year.
There will be a graveside service on Wednesday, October 7, 2015, at 2:00 p.m. at West Hills Memorial Park.
