Doreta “D.T.” Ward of Yakima went to our Lord peacefully on Sunday, December 10, 2016 at the tender age of 79. Born the first day of spring, March 20, 1936 to proud parents Orville Leroy Herde and Marcella Antha Baughman in Harrison, Arkansas. Doreta was the oldest of three children with two younger brothers, Darrell (Darrell) Herde of Graham, WA and Orvan Herde of Spokane, WA.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years Cleo S. Ward, one son Darwin D. Ward, her parents Orville and Marcella, one granddaughter Angelique (Angel) Ward and one great grandson Blake Ward.
Doreta is survived by her sons, Lueron Ward and Kerry D. Ward of Yakima; two brothers, Darrell and Orvan; two grandchildren Nathaniel Ward, Kruick and Melisha A. Ward; one great granddaughter, Morgan and sister-in-law, Moree Kimmel.
