Dorothy Fogelman

She was born March 28, 1926 in Duluth, Minnesota to John and Marion (Murray) Hussey.

She spent her working career at Boeing, working as a manager. However, she was also active in several clubs in the area; such as Rotary Club, baking cookies for North Star, Eastern Star, Secretary to the Lions Club as well as volunteered at the YSDA food bank and the Salvation Army.

Dorothy had a great sense of humor, a quick wit and a genuine love of people. It was evident in everything that she did, and the people she met. Everyone that had the opportunity to meet her loved her. She had a vivacious love for life, and would often go out to visit with friends and eat.

She will be greatly missed.

She spent six months in the nursing home, and her constant companion was her dog Tyke. He never left her side.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Edwin Fogelman, and her siblings.

Dorothy is survived by her very special friend Deanna Schwendiman of Yakima; step-daughter Bernice Arends of San Carlos, CA; brother John Hussey of Minnesota; and niece Betty Melby; as well as her very special dog Tyke.

Visitation will be Wednesday, March 19, 2014 from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Keith & Keith Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will follow on Thursday, March 20, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. also at the Funeral Home, with Burial to follow at West Hills Memorial Park.
