Emily Christine Craig

Emily Craig, 28, of Yakima died Wednesday after a brief illness. Wife of Troy Craig and beloved daughter of Mark and Annie Bradford, sister of Mark Jr., and daughter-in-law to Dean Craig and Lanette Irwin, Emily was a truly amazing wife, friend and most especially devoted mother to her 3 young sons Troy Jr. (6), Andrew (4), and Alexander (2).

As a child, Emily’s rare spirit took flight as an accomplished figure skater. A 2001 graduate of Davis High, Emily and Troy were married in 2006 on a beautiful (and hot) summer day amid a river and mountain backdrop in the Naches Valley. She enjoyed spending the 4th of July with her extended family on Whidbey Island and camping outdoors with her curious, always-on-the-move sons.

Emily’s loyal friendship and witty sense of humor touched and inspired many people. She came into the world 7 weeks early. And she left it all too early. She will be missed.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 2, 2012 at Holy Family Catholic Church in Yakima with a reception following.
