Estelle J. Aman, 82 of Naches passed away Monday April 30th 2012 in Yakima. Estelle was born July 11, 1929 in Denver, Colorado to Aaron and Esther (Kennerup) Gardiner. As a young girl she and her sister worked as a dance team until her father’s death. Then with her mother and sister, moved to the Yakima area where they picked fruit amongst other jobs. She graduated from Selah High School in 1947. On June 21st of 1947 she married Donald J. Aman in a double wedding along with her sister and Don’s brother at St. Joe’s Catholic Church. Together with Don they started Aman Auto Repair where she did the office paperwork for 28 years.
In the mid 70’s they moved to Naches-Chinook Pass area where they started Aman Construction Co. and it ran for 10 years. They later spent winters in Yuma, Arizona.
Estelle was a member of St. Johns Catholic Church in Naches and was a lifetime member and past president of Beta Sigma Phi. She enjoyed family, arts and crafts, snowmobile trips and RV vacations to many places and getting together with friends.
She is survived by her daughter Laurynn Aman of Naches; grandchildren, Joshua Aman and Sarah Heintz of Prosser and 8 great grandchildren. Brother in law Melvin Aman of Naches and nephew Thomas Aman of Naches.
Estelle was preceded in death by her parents, husband Don, her sister Elna and her son Meldon.
A private graveside service will be held.
