From childbirth to the present, she impressed everyone! She surpassed expectations and challenges with a strong attitude and acquired great independence. Athletic from the beginning she would strive to win first place and be the best: Winning marbles in the school yard, aiming a sling shot to drop the target, climbing trees to fly the furthest with her super powers. As a teen she did not step away from laborious farm work until she had acquired her BA from Heritage University. She was able to have everything she liked: new truck, great house, and loving companion. She enjoyed recent employment, was proud of the environment, and would go out of her way to assist co-workers in the juice plant for team recognition. Truly a superwoman! Positive, outgoing, generous, loving, and not afraid to explore something new. She sets the pace once more, as the fight with cancer takes her journey to the afterlife. She will lead the way and be our Angel spreading her wings ready to embrace us when our time comes.
She was preceded in death by all four of her grandparents, and survived by her best friends Melda Sanchez and Bella, parents Natividad and Enriqueta Serrano, sisters Alice Ortiz, Estella Garcia, Claudina Ocampo, Juanita Serrano, and Irma Herrera, brothers Nate and Eloy Serrano, 25 nieces and nephews and eight great-nieces and nephews.
