I worked for Harold in the next cubicle from Jakki for 11 years and was always appreciative of her bubbly personality and kindness to others. I retired in 2008 and haven't seen her or Harold for many years. It's unfortunate how we sometimes neglect our friendships until something like this happens.  She will be missed by all who knew her.

My sincere condolences to the MacLean Family, friends and loved ones.  Jakki was an incredible servant for her community.  As Fire Marshal, she kept her community safe, and even saved countless lives through her efforts.  Her selfless and devoted service is unmatched.  May she forever Rest In Peace. Jakki was a great friend and mentor throughout most of my career as a county fire marshal. She always had a smile, a nice thing to say about most everyone and kept her eye on the prize hereafter. Thank you for all you did for your community. Thank you for being my friend.

Since first encountering Jakki  on a trip to Israel, my life has been altered!  She brought so much Joy into my life!  
When she got back, she followed up on what the Lord Jesus was telling her and gathered a group of women together for a once a week time with Jesus and what became Sacred Sassy Sistas!  Since that time, I have grown in my respect for her.  She is loving, kind and consistent in her ways.  She inspired me to look for the positive in each situation I encountered.  She coached me to really  believe what the Bible said and take action!  We did lots of walking together praying and believing for positive change in Yakima County and beyond.  What a gift our time together has been! I wonder what she's going by in heaven?  Jacalyn Joy, Jakki Joy,Little Mama, or Rahinbow?

Jakki joined our Canasta table every Thursday afternoon for the last three years. She brought Jennifer's girls "fuzzy water" and fruit snacks. They always looked forward to seeing her drive up!!! Nancy, Anna, Jenn, Patricia and Jennifer all felt privileged to "BE" at the table together with her as she shared her journey with cancer. Prayers and hugs were always shared after hearts were revealed. Her love for "her" Harold came up often. (Out of the five husband's represented...THREE were Harold's.)
She was loved. She will be missed.

I traveled to Cabo with Jakki, Leslie, and JoAnne. It was Jakki's heart to visit Feed the Cabo Kids. It was an experience, the surprised look on Jakki's face when the director turned to her to pay for the groceries we were purchasing at Costco, to the gritty undissolved powdered milk that we were washing out of the children's cups (which they were loving) or enjoying the sunshine and pool. Was blessed to be able to get to know her heart in action!

Jakki and I were classmates in the Executive Fire Officer Program at the National Fire Academy in Emmitsburg, MD. We were in the same class 2 out of the 4 years.  I thank god and I was blessed to meet such a wonderful person.  We were in the same team group of 4 chief officers from around the US and the world, and were required to complete projects, reports and lectures as one. 

Jakki was the glue that solidified the cohesiveness of the group, even after graduation. She also, at each subsequent annual Graduate Symposium, made sure everyone brought the others up to date pertaining to family, updates on travel and work.

She has, from day one, been so highly respected and appreciated by her peers in the fire service, and always shall be. I was devastated when I was informed of her passing, and myself and our fellow classmates  have been communicating and remembering what a great person, classmate, and friend we have in Jakki. Thank you, miss you my friend.

Jackki and I met while students at the National Fire Academy EFO program.  Not was she a fellow student, she also became my friend.  I looked forward to attending the annual  EFO symposium so we could catch up with each other and with those from our class.

Jakki, I will miss all the times you took me and my sisters to church, or the times we would go to your house and have the best steak dinner with shrimp, the times where we would go swim in your swimming pool and have the time of our life! I will forever miss seeing your beautiful  smile on a Saturday morning when it was “motorcycle ride weekend” what a pleasure to have known you. Rest peacefully beautiful..  ♥️

Jakki was my best friend for many years in the 70s when we both worked for the County.  We had such fun together and I loved her so.  She was one of a kind, gone way too soon.

Through the fire service and as a co-worker I knew Jakki for many years.  She had a passion for fire safety that will always be remembered. It is sad when we lose our human connection through death but joy in knowing the reward that she now receives in heaven.  

Prayers and sympathy to family and friends who will miss her deeply.  Embrace and cling to all the memories you shared.  

May she rest in eternal peace.
