sad event. The "nice guy" description captured his polite and respectful ways, his lack of prejudice about people and cultures,
and his delight in everyday family life. Born in Yakima on April 25, 1946, to Robert and Colleen Glover, Jack spent his early
years on a fruit ranch where he developed a life-long love of animals and nature. As a teenager, Jack also discovered a love for
airplanes and flying. He satisfied this love by working at the Yakima airport for a few years and convincing pilots to let him
ride along on flights.
As a young adult, Jack went to work at the Boise Cascade mill and retired 40 years later. Along the way, in addition to working, Jack
played “Unc” to his niece and nephew, Stephanie and Jack. They adored their uncle and gave him practice for what was to come a
little later in his life. From a first marriage, Jack became Dad to step-son Jason. Jack loved his role as Dad and continued to
practice it when he married Elba Brandenburg in 2006 and gained two additional step-sons, Andres and Samuel, and a step-daughter,
Sabina. The births of Haiden, Landon (nicknamed "Big Daddy" by Jack), and Cael Liam gave Jack his final big role-
that of Grandpa. Jack loved the boys and took great pride in being an active part of their lives and watching them grow. Did he really
relish sitting in pre-school for three weeks because Landon wanted him there? And, how did the two of them get so muddy on the way
to pre-school? Jack-the nice guy, the uncle, the Dad, the Grandpa- will be missed by so many.
Jack leaves behind wife Elba; mother Colleen Korach; mother-in-law Pauline Lopez; step-mother Marie Glover; brother Greg
Glover; step-sisters Karen Glover and Cheryl Kennedy; step-children Jason Glover, Andres and Samuel Brandenburg
