They enjoyed family get-togethers, vacations to the ocean, camping, and working on their family home. Chuck was a happy person who really enjoyed family over anything else. Chuck made friends with practically everyone he met and enjoyed meeting his close friends for coffee in the mornings to share their stories.
During his teaching career Chuck also worked as a professional artist. He is well known for his beautiful watercolors and pen & Ink drawings.
Throughout his career Jeannie managed the art business and also the person who encouraged him and gave him confidence and faith in himself to further his career. We are so sorry for the loss of this wonderful teacher and talented artist. Our family own several of his lovely barn drawings/watercolors. I was privileged to be a student in his class at IKE HI in 1961. And my Mom was delghted to work with him while he taught there. (Mom served at the Principal's secretary in the main office). Our thoughts and prayers are with the family as you heal from this loss.

I am very sorry for your loss.
I very much regret that I never told Mr. Naasz the difference he made in my life. I took every art class he offered, and then independent study when I ran out of art classes. Mr. Naasz opened up his classroom to students every day after school, and I was there almost every day for 2-3 hours, working on drawings & paintings. Art was the one thing that gave me peace of mind in high school. Mr. Naasz taught me to love the process of art way more than the finished product. Art got me through high school, and would probably make me way less stressed if I did more of it now. I appreciate so much all he taught me and all the hours he devoted to students outside of his work day. I ran into him in Yakima last summer, and at least had the chance to tell him how much I loved his classes. Mr. Naasz was a good person who made a difference in the lives of his students.
