Lloyd was born in Pine Bluff, Arkansas in 1936 to Julia and John, one of 12 children. Lloyd graduated from West Plains High School in 1956 and served in the army from 1958 to 1960 before relocating to Yakima, Washington where he met his wife Diane.
Lloyd and Diane married on June 29, 1963 and raised one daughter, Julia. Lloyd worked for John I. Haas for twenty-five years and served as a deacon at First Baptist of Union Gap.
Lloyd enjoyed helping coach his daughter’s softball team, watching Seahawks football and attending church with his family. He loved watching The Waltons and Little House on the Prairie. He was a man of few words and many people said that he was the nicest man they’d ever met. Above all Lloyd loved serving his lord and we rejoice in the knowledge that he has gone home.
Lloyd is survived by his wife of 56 years, Diane, his daughter Julia, his son-in-law Bobby, his twin sister Lois, his sister Janette, brother Jerry and numerous nieces and nephews.
