

Margene Weber, 74, of Yakima, passed away on Sunday, February 20, 2011.
Margene was born on July 7, 1936, to Peter and Mary Payer in Lake Andes, South Dakota. She was raised and educated there.
On August 6, 1955, she married Harlan Weber in Lake Andes, South Dakota. They had five children. They lived in Pierre, Ipswich and Aberdeen, South Dakota, where she was a homemaker and raised their children.
In 1979, she and her family moved to Yakima where she resided for the rest of her life. Margene worked at Sund-Roy Fruit Company for many years. She enjoyed the outdoors, camping fishing, playing bingo and dancing to Polka music. She loved being with her children and received much enjoyment spending time working in her yard. She will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her daughters: Susan Cope of Portland, Oregon; Laurie Morris of Portland, Oregon; Joni Hill of Ellensburg, Washington; sons: Doug Weber of Yakima; and Jim Weber of Orting, Washington: two brothers; Leo Payer and Eugene Payer of Lake Andes, South Dakota; and six grandchildren: Kendra Weber, Andrew Weber, Larissa Weber, Emily Weber, Tanner Hill and Tia Hill. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harlan Weber; and sisters, Darlene Kocer and Hank Nelson.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Friday, February 25 with a Vigil service beginning at 5:00 p.m. at Keith & Keith 9th Ave Chapel. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, February, 26, 2011, at St. Paul Cathedral with burial following at Terrace Heights Memorial Park. Keith & Keith Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements.
