Maria Alcala, 39, died January 7, 2017. For the last 10 years she faithfully attended meetings at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in American Sign Language. She loved her God, Jehovah, and her many friends. She had strong faith in the bible’s hope of a resurrection of the dead (John 5:28,29) and of eternal life on a paradise earth (Psalm 37:29). We loved her. She was a bright spot in our lives and she will be greatly missed by those she worshipped with, and also those who cared for her: Bryan, René, Angie, Leanne and the other staff. A memorial service will be held in English and ASL on January 28, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall, 2506 W. Mead Ave., Yakima. All who knew her are invited to attend.
