

She attended Catholic school through Jr. High and graduated from Yakima High in 1953. She worked as a dental assistant for approximately 4 years. She married James Finley at Saint Paul Catholic Church June 9, 1956. She worked at Eisenhower High School from 1971 until 1980 when she began the nursing program at YVCC at the age of 45. Her nursing career included 2 years at Memorial Hospital and 17 years at Selah Family Clinic. Upon her retiring she took up quilting and numerous sewing projects to become a vendor at several fall bazaars, where she was sought after for her hand embroidered, flour sack, dish towels, making her favorite room in the house the sewing room. She was also able to travel to several places United States-wide including Alaska and Hawaii; along with a trip to Mexico.
She was very involved in Saint John Catholic Church in Naches and Lady of Lourdes in Selah.
She is survived by her husband Jim; along with their 3 children, Debra Lee, (Paul) of Ohio, Dan Finley, of Yakima and Donna George, (Chris) of Spokane Valley. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; 1 sister, Teresa Martin (Gene) of Walla Walla; stepmother, Barbara DeBord, and 3 brothers, John, Jim and Bob.
Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, April 24, 2015 at Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Selah to include a Rosary service at 6:30 p.m. Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, April 25, 2015 at the church followed by a graveside service at Terrace Heights Memorial Park. A luncheon will be provided at the church following.
