Opal F Ferguson

Opal Fern Ferguson age 89, born in Webb City, Missouri on Oct. 18, 1923, passed on Oct. 31, 2012 in Yakima. She was 11 when she moved to Yakima. She married Okley Ferguson on Oct. 1, 1938. They were married 60 years before he pasted on Jan. 19, 1999, at age 82. Her husband liked to hunt and fish, and she was a great cook, so she was the camp cook for her husband, sons, and others. She made the BEST cakes, pies, homemade bread. She loved to cook for friends and family.

She was a wonderful mother and grandmother. She will be missed. She is survived by three sons. Ken (Erika); Cliff (Peggy); Bud (Danna) Ferguson, daughter Sherry (Dwayne) Philp. Grandkids- Ken (Lisa) Tina (Lawrence), Scott (Sophia), Kris (Gil), Kathy (Bruce), Kay, Doug (Heather), Shawn (Mari), Dwayne (Jennifer), Jeff, Mike (Irma), and Oakley. Great grandkids, Leila, Jake, Lori, Dillan, Damian, Daniel, Kelsey, Terra, Samantha, Brandon, Devenique, Gracie, Yulissa, Makayla, Madalynn ; great great granddaughters; Adriana, Madison, Viana, Madison, and Amarissa. We were all blessed to have her. She was last of three brothers and two sisters.

Visitation will be held Monday from 4 to 8 pm at Langevin-Mussetter funeral home.There will be a private burial Tuesday. A memorial dinner will be held Nov. 17 at 3pm at The Club House, 14 Burning Tree Dr. Off of 34th and Lincoln.
