Orren John Oldham, our Big Brother and Friend, was born with Beautiful Blue Eyes on a cold Christmas morning, December 25, 1958. He was the first of six children, the Son of Darlene (Laurvick) and Ted Oldham. He fell asleep around 9:30 Wednesday night, and died peacefully in his sleep of natural causes at 65 years old on February 8, 2024.
Orren was preceded in death by his Father in 2002 and his step-dad, Lewis Smith, last year. He is survived by his Mother, Darlene; sisters Cory (Troy) Slobig, Claire (James) Morrison, Connie Oldham; and brothers Clayton (Rondi) Oldham, and Christopher (Tracy) Oldham; as well as a dozen nieces and nephews. He also has a large extended Family who Love him dearly and a plethora of Friends from work, softball, poker, and from living in Yakima for over 60 years.
Orren attended Carroll High School his Freshman year, East Valley for most of his Sophomore year, and then was a Marine for six years, earning the “Most Fit Athletic Honors” in his platoon through Boot Camp. He worked with Irwin Research from May 1978 to May 1989, and Snokist Growers for many years during and after Irwin. He also worked at Roche Fruit; and had been with Fruit Packers Supply the last 10 years.
Please know that Orren was most perfectly loved his entire life and he always looked for the best in others and expected that a person would give their best, regardless of what they were doing. He will be missed beyond measure.
