Paul was a proud veteran who served in the Army during the Berlin Crisis of 1961. A graduate of Venice High School, he also attended Santa Monica College following his military service. Before his time in the Army, Paul was an accomplished athlete; he began boxing at a young age at the Yakima YMCA and went on to become the Golden Glove Flyweight Champion in Los Angeles in 1958 and 1959, eventually turning professional.
Throughout his career, Paul worked for Hardman Tool and Engineering for over 20 years. Following its closure, he continued his work as an aircraft interior fabricator at Trans Aero, Douglas, and various other aircraft companies until his retirement in 2001.
He is survived by his wife, Elodia Gloria (Fernandez); his three sons, Raymond, Forrest, and Vincent; and his daughter. He also leaves behind four granddaughters, three great-granddaughters, two sisters, one brother, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Paul truly loved California—the sun, his home, and the beach. He was a gifted artist who found peace in his garden on sunny days and enjoyed listening to music in his den on Sundays. He was a generous and loyal man who was deeply protective of his family and cherished his many friendships. His granddaughters were a special gift to him, bringing him immense joy and happiness.
Paul will be forever remembered with love and treasured memories.
