Selig Sig Thomas Burkhardt

Sig was raised in Yakima and graduated from Eisenhower High School. He attended Yakima Valley and Seattle Central Community College. He received a Bachelor of Science from Buffalo State University and a Master of Business Administration from Liberty University. At the time of his death he was working at American Crystal Sugar Co. as a lab technician.

Sig especially enjoyed music, computers, Seahawks, Mariners and an occasional spirited debate on various topics. He will also be remembered as a special uncle to his niece and nephew.

He is survived by his parents, Ronald and Claudia Burkhardt; sister, Gabriella and husband Rick Hill; niece, Riley; nephew, Liam and grandmother, Bertha Burkhardt Taylor all of Yakima as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Orval and Dessie Thomas and Fred Burkhardt.

Memorials may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation or the charity of your choice.

A Memorial Service will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 12, 2011 at Central Lutheran Church, Yakima. Keith & Keith Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.
