Shirley F. Cox

Shirley was born January 25th 1949 in Estes TX to Cecil Marvin & Thelma Catherine Head-Leister. Shirley loved all things beautiful.

Planting flowers and vegetable gardens was just one of her passions. She loved writing stories and poetry and singing. She had a witty snarky personality that made everyone laugh. But her greatest passion was her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her twin sister Anna Mae Macklin of Corpus Christie TX, sister Margaret Mason of Saldonkta AK, brothers C.L. Leister of Aransas Pass TX, Butch Leister of Porterville CA, Charles Shaver of Lexington KY and grandson SFC Houston Taylor of Azle TX.

She is survived by her husband of 31 years, Gary Cox; sister, Charlene Leister - Lewis of Aransas Pass TX; brothers, Marvin Leister of Ingleside TX and Melvin Leister of Austin TX; her daughter, Renee Cremean-Bryan and husband Billy of Azle TX; her son, Rick McLoud and wife Kimberly of Selah WA and her son, Steve McLoud and Debbie Taylor of Kimberling MO; she is also survived by her grandchildren Austin and Dallas Taylor, Kaitlynn, Brooklynn and Wyatt McLoud and Ethan Bolin; and four great grandchildren.

She was kind to everyone she met. She is going to be greatly missed by all.
